Welcome back, everyone! Until now, Emma and I's blog hasn't been very active. *coughs awkwardly* But after some hard work, we've revamped the website and relaunched the blog! *hot pink glitter explodes everywhere* So welcome, to the first of our every Monday posts!
And now... a lovely short story written by yours truly.

For you, I would.
That was the problem.
I trailed my hand through the wildflowers growing alongside the street. The bright purples and cheery yellows wafted in the wind. I turned aside with a sigh and continued along. Dirt pressed against my bare feet and stones jabbed mercilessly into my skin.
His face flashed into my mind. I lost myself in his eyes, the color of the sun echoing through the rich bark and faded leaves of a lonely forest. Eyes I longed to gaze upon forever.
I hissed with pain as I hit a particularly sharp stone, snapping out of the memory.
For you, I would.
I let out a soft sob. Air escaped my lungs in a light gust, vanishing into the countryside around me. I shook my head. My sleek auburn hair bounced against my shoulders.
Why did I care so much?
That was the problem.
I always cared.
I had nothing left to give, and still I cared. He took from me, and still I cared. The wind wrapped around me, drawing me further into my mind. He drifted into my gaze, memory after memory. My hand clenched tightly, as if he were there beside me, holding it. I wrapped my arms around myself, trying to echo the warmth and safety from his embrace.
For you, I would do anything.
My breaths came in short gasps, the crisp air freezing my chest. I closed my eyes but still he lingered in my mind. He was there.
Always there.
And still I cared.
The sunlight poured down around me. Its light forced my eyes open again. Far down the path, a figure appeared.
I knew that stance, that smile, that wave, better than my own. He was here. I moved forward quicker, stones continuing to pierce my feet as I ran.
For you, I would do anything.
His arms embraced me, lifting me from the ground and spinning me around. He set me down and pressed a gentle kiss to my lips. Warmth radiated through me.
I would do anything.
Even when you hurt me and I have nothing left to give.
Even when I’m so tired of this.
But what if there’s a time when I must leave?
