Why We Write

Bible laying open in a bed of pink and white flowers

At Throne of Grace, we write to glorify Christ in every shadow and every light. Our stories do not shy away from the broken, the weary or the wounded. We acknowledge sin, yet we give it no dominion.

In the midst of darkness, we proclaim the truth of the Gospel—Christ victorious over every sin in our lives. We have confidence that anyone can draw near to God’s throne of grace and receive mercy in the time of need.

We write with courage, for we believe the truth of the cross has the power to transform hearts even in the messiest corners of life. Our fiction lifts the veil on brokenness, while pointing unflinchingly to the Redeemer.

We do not write for empty comfort, for shallow resolution, or for the applause of the world. We write to reflect the glory of God, to illuminate His presence in the chaos, and to declare His victory over death, sin, and despair.

We are not spinning fairytales. We don’t weave empty stories that ignore the weight of life or sugarcoat the struggles we face. You will not find mushy tales with no backbone, no weight, and no eternal truth.

We don’t bend to the world’s definitions of meaning or morality. We do not skirt away from reality—but confront it with faith, with love and with boldness that comes from knowing our Savior has overcome.

Every sentence, every scene, every character aims to be a reflection of His glory, a declaration of His triumph, and a beacon for those longing to see His light in a dark world. We seek to point to the fullness of life found in Him.

Christ is triumphant over the deepest, darkest sins no one dares whisper. He is the Lion but He is also the Lamb—the sacrifice that appeases the Father’s wrath and grants all who believe in Him salvation and eternal life.

Our calling is clear. To the glory of our God alone. We write to honor Him, to magnify His name and to call every heart to repentance and faith in Him alone.
